t3versions uses two friendly bots: one finds websites running TYPO3, the other determines their TYPO3 version.

t3versions bot

A web crawler that searches domain lists for websites running TYPO3 CMS. It performs a single GET request per domain and saves the domain name, if the website uses TYPO3.

t3versions check bot

Determines the TYPO3 major version of a website. It performs multiple GET requests with 1 second wait time between the requests and saves the TYPO3 version for the statistics.
